Security Operatives and ICT Personnel Hunting the Hiding Covid 19 Positive District Health Officer.

Security Agencies country wide are working hand in hand with the Ministry of Information Technology and Communication (ICT) to hunt down Namayingo District Health Officer who has gone into hiding after testing positive to Covid 19.
This is in response to a directive that was on last Wednesday issued by the Speaker of Parliament Alitwala Kadaga calling upon the said organs of Government to immediately intervene and trace Dr. Patrick Magoola now after falling victim to the virus.
The Speaker issued the directive while reacting to a concern that had been put before the house by the Member of Parliament for Bukooli Island in Namayingo district, George Abott Ouma expressing fear that Dr. Patrick Magoola the Namayingo District Health Officer had disappeared after testing positive to Covid 19.
The legislator told parliament that Dr. Patrick Magoola after ascertaining that he had contracted the virus posted his findings on social media and disappeared throwing the district into panic.
“What is most worrying is that whereas he is in hiding, we have many of his colleagues who were in contact with him still at large, ´ Abott told parliament.
Abott added that there is permanent fear among the residents because Dr. Magoola constantly calls his close colleagues plus workmates and appealing to them to go for testing.
Namayingo RDC who also chairs the district task force on covid_19, Majid Dhikusooka has also confirmed the incident and said that that his team is trying as much as possible to trace Dr.Magoola’s close contacts and test them to ascertain that they are safe.
“We are working to restore calm among the residents after they were thrown into panic after the District Health Officer declaring while in hiding that he has fallen victim to Covid 19,” he said.
He however said all efforts are underway to trace Dr. Magoola and the Police has been informed to assist into tracing his whereabouts.
