Minister Betty Amongi’s latest initiative is set to transform the lives of 387 small-scale businesswomen in Lira City, providing them with a soft loan of 107 million shillings to grow their businesses.
This loan, disbursed on November 15, 2024, at Senior Quarters, Lira City East Division, is a testament to Minister Amongi’s commitment to empowering women and driving local economic development.
Jenifer Opio, a member of Minister Amongi’s team, encouraged the beneficiaries to support Minister Amongi in the 2026 elections, citing her exceptional leadership.
The loan is not linked to any political affiliation, as emphasized by Imat Dina Bua, Chairperson of the Women’s Council in Lira City.
