Kampala has been gripped by a new electrifying wave which is raising a lot of curiosity and questions. It’s not a cult. It’s not politics. It has nothing to do with the deeds of the night. However, it’s something unique and unprecedented; a new spiritual movement sweeping across the country and the African continent resuscitating spiritual revival.
Welcome to the Night of Bliss!
The Night of Bliss is a spiritual encounter which happens every first Friday of the month, and this latest one is the fourth episode at House of Rest formerly Fido Dido on Kampala Road.
The inter-denominational event attracts over 50 pastors and church leaders from the country and Africa with the central focus of lifting up the name of Christ. The crowds continue to swell by day, and according to the vision bearer of this ministry, Apostle Roland Mwesigwa Lwasa, in the coming few months, the Night of Bliss shall shift to MTN Arena Kololo, and in the next one year, to Nambole Stadium.
“Everybody is excited about this Night of Bliss. The numbers keep swelling because everyone who comes here goes back and returns with more people. This is a movement which is changing people’s lives; people come here and they meet God. We continue to see the mighty hand of God doing miracles, signs and wonders. There is an electrifying and thrilling moment of worship which draws you to the heavens. Then the moment of intense prayer, praise will blow-off the doors of heaven and force God to descend to minister to His people,” explains Apostle Mwesigwa, who has preached the gospel for the last three decades in Uganda, UK, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, and among other countries.
In his address to the international media, Apostle Mwesigwa says that there needs to be a paradigm shift in serving God, if the world is to see and experience the glory of God. “We need to change the way we serve God. The focus should be on building the Kingdom of God and glorying Jesus Christ as opposed to building personal empires and glorifying ourselves as servants of God. It’s not about us, but all about God.”
