Uganda and Czech Republic Strengthen Military Ties

The Chief of Defence Forces of the UPDF and Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, met with a high-level delegation from the Czech Republic at the Special Forces Command Headquarters in Entebbe.
The meeting took place this afternoon and focused on security and bilateral relations between Uganda and the Czech Republic.
The Czech delegation was led by the Director General, Military & Industrial Cooperation, in the country’s Ministry of Defence, Radka Konderlova.
Other members of the delegation included Her Excellency Nicol Adamcová, the Czech Ambassador to Uganda, and Maj Gen Petr Čepelka, the Czech Airforce commander.
Gen Kainerugaba was joined by Lt Gen Charles Okidi, Commander of the Airforce, and other senior Airforce officers.
The meeting acknowledged the growing ties between the two nations and explored ways to strengthen their security and bilateral relations.
This meeting follows another in May, where Gen Kainerugaba met with Ms. Katerina Sequensova, Director General for Non-European Countries, Economic and Development Cooperation of the Czech Republic.
Mr. Stephen Kaboyo, the Czech Republic’s Honorary Consul in Uganda, attended both meetings, highlighting the importance of the growing relationship between the two countries.
The meeting demonstrates the commitment of both nations to strengthening their military ties and exploring new areas of cooperation.
The Czech Republic has been actively engaging with Uganda in various fields, including defence, trade, and development cooperation.
The growing ties between the two nations are a testament to the strengthening relationship between Uganda and the Czech Republic.
Both parties are expected to continue exploring new areas of cooperation and strengthening their bilateral relations in the coming months.
