The Inspector General of Police, John Martins Okoth Ochola has freshly deployed, promoted and transferred over 70 police commanders in different departments of Police from the rank of ACP to ASP.

“The decision (to transfer) impacts on various offices including heads of departments, Regional Police commanders, District Police Commanders and others. The officers are tasked with ensuring professional and efficient delivery of all police services in their area of jurisdiction. These transfers are normal and take immediate effect,” deputy Police spokesperson, Polly Namaye said of the changes.
