Uganda’s oldest university Makerere has had its Main Building – Ivory Tower ravaged by fire this morning. The fire brigade is on ground trying to put down the fire.
The Police Fire Brigade is trying to put out the fire which has now covered almost half of the roof.
“It’s a trying moment for them right now,” Eyewitness said.
The cause of the fire at the 79 year building has not yet been established but sources it could have originated from electricity connections in the building.
