By The Public Lens
This Saturday, President Yoweri Museveni is set to share his vision for a more prosperous Uganda, as he addresses the nation on wealth creation and economic development.
The Presidential Press Unit has described the address as “crucial” and in its letter released today, Friday, July 19, 2024, urged every patriotic Ugandan not to miss it.
“During his address, the President will focus on the crucial topic of wealth creation and other crucial matters of national importance. The address will be broadcast live on all radio and television stations, as well as digital platforms. We kindly request you to tune in and follow the address!” the letter reads.
The President’s speech comes as part of his ongoing efforts to promote economic growth and poverty alleviation through initiatives like the Parish Development Model (PDM). Launched in 2022, the PDM aims to transform households from subsistence farming to a money-based economy.
President Museveni has also emphasized the importance of wealth funds in driving economic progress in key sectors such as commercial agriculture, industry, services, and ICT.
As Uganda continues on its path towards economic development, the President’s address is expected to provide valuable insights and guidance for citizens and stakeholders alike. The address will be broadcast live on all radio and television stations, as well as digital platforms.
