President Yoweri Museveni has emphasized the crucial role of cultural institutions in preserving the culture of hard work and decency among their subjects.

Speaking at the Silver Jubilee Coronation anniversary of His Royal Highness Kwar Adhola Moses Stephen Owor, Museveni urged cultural leaders to raise a generation of integrity to banish corruption and support peaceful living.

The president praised the Padhola cultural institution for its achievements over the years, saying that the celebration of the silver jubilee is a highlight of the institution’s existence since its inception by the NRM leadership.

He thanked God for His provision and wisdom that has kept His Royal Highness going until now.

The president noted that the restoration of cultural institutions by the government provided an opening for them to fully participate in the development of their people.

He said that the NRM recognizes the role played by cultural institutions and will always provide support to them as long as resources allow.

President Museveni also emphasized the importance of poverty eradication through government programs like Operation Wealth Creation, Emyooga, and the Parish Development Model.

He called upon all stakeholders in cultural institutions to be preachers of the NRM gospel of hard work and attaining self-reliance.

NRM Secretary General Richard Todwong congratulated the Kwar upon celebrating the silver jubilee and noted that through cultural institutions, NRM’s message of wealth creation will reach the family level.

His Royal Highness Kwar Adhola Moses Stephen Owor thanked Prresident Museveni for his guidance and support, saying that the president’s advice has earned the Padhola Adhola cultural institution opportunities to recognize its potential.

He also appreciated President  Museveni for offering his people appointments in various government and NRM establishments.

The event was attended by various dignitaries, including cultural leaders, the clergy, and politicians.
