His Majesty Ssaabasajja Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, today, Saturday July 19, 2025, sent a heartfelt message of condolence to the family of the late Prof. George William Kanyeihamba.
The Kabaka’s message was delivered by Prince Rev. Daniel Kimbugwe Kajumba, who presented it to Joel Martin Kanyeihamba, the son of the deceased, upon his arrival at Entebbe Airport.
According to a statement posted on the official Facebook page of the Buganda Kingdom, Ssaabasajja Kabaka expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Prof. Kanyeihamba.
The Kabaka honored him as a man who left an outstanding legacy in education and demonstrated unwavering commitment to justice and the rule of law.
In a message delivered by Prince Kimbugwe, His Majesty the Kabaka described the late Professor George William Kanyeihamba as a true voice for the voiceless.
He was also a passionate advocate for peace and unity, and a man who used his legal expertise to uplift and improve the lives of many.
“He dedicated his life to championing human rights, justice, and national unity,” the Prince said as he read the message.
“His wisdom and voice will be deeply missed.”
Prof. Kanyeihamba is remembered for his immense contribution to Uganda’s legal system and constitutional development.
His work touched many lives, and he remains a respected figure both nationally and internationally.
The Kabaka’s message of comfort and respect has been received with gratitude by the bereaved family and the wider community mourning the fallen scholar.
