President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has returned to Uganda following a successful three-day State Visit to Nairobi, Kenya, where he engaged in high-level discussions aimed at deepening bilateral relations between the two neighboring nations.
During his stay, President Museveni held strategic talks with his Kenyan counterpart, President William Samoei Ruto.
The two leaders exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and explored avenues to strengthen cooperation between Uganda and Kenya.
Their engagements extended to comprehensive bilateral meetings involving senior government officials from both countries.
These discussions focused on key sectors including transport and infrastructure, trade and investment, immigration, regional integration, peace and security, and joint efforts to combat terrorism.
President Museveni was officially seen off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga and other senior officials of the Kenyan government, marking the end of a visit characterized by warm hospitality and shared commitment to regional growth.
Upon his arrival at Entebbe International Airport, President Museveni was received by a delegation of top Ugandan officials, including the Head of Public Service and Secretary to Cabinet, Lucy Nakyobe, the Deputy Commander of the Special Forces Command (SFC), Brig. Gen. Charity Bainababo, the Uganda Police Director of Human Resource Development, AIGP Godfrey Golooba, the Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons, Samuel Akena, and the Chief of Staff for the Air Force, Brig. Gen. David Gonyi.
The President’s visit underscores Uganda’s ongoing commitment to fostering strong regional alliances and advancing shared objectives for peace, development, and prosperity in East Africa.
