The Secretariat staff attached to upcountry NRM offices have been urged to serve all Party Candidates equally without any discrimination.

The call has been made this Wednesday afternoon by the Deputy Secretary General Hon. Richard Todwong while meeting the District Administrative Secretaties at the Party Headquarters in Kampala.

“Don’t take sides but attend to all candidates equally”, Todwong said. He added, “As staff, don’t attend candidates’ meetings unless it’s an official event involving all concerned individuals”. The Admins were reminded that they are fully answerable to the Rt. Hon. Secretary General and warned against undermining her office.

OFFICIAL STAMPS ISSUED
The Deputy SG disclosed that the Admins had partly been invited to the headquarters to receive the official stamps to be used in the internal party elections. These stamps will be used in endorsing the Party Candidates for the Special Interest Groups (SIGs). “Use the stamps for official work only”, the Deputy SG emphasised.

OFFICES RE-OPENED
Addressing the same meeting, the Deputy National Treasurer Hon. Jacqueline Kyatuhaire said, the Secretary General had directed all offices to re-open for operations. Offices had closed in March due to Covid-19.

Hon Kyatuhaire urged the staff to observe the SOPs at offices. She added that each office was getting the santizers, a plastic can for hand washing, a Temperature gun and 200 masks. She promised more support to district offices.

The meeting was also addressed by the Director-Mobilisation Hon Mathias Kasamba and the Senior Manager-Finance & Administration Aron Kashamba.
