Sandra Egesa Vows to Deliver Service and Fight Corruption in Namayingo District

Sandra Egesa, a strong supporter of the ruling NRM party and granddaughter to former District Commissioner Haji Abubakar Sadik Odwori, has announced her candidacy for the position of a Woman Member of Parliament in Namayingo district.

She revealed her intentions on 5, July, 2024  at Sigulu Island while launching  her ongoing bursary program to orphans and those from less privileged homes plus humble backgrounds.

Egesa, herself known for her high moral principles, transparent, and accountable in her actions plus decisions, pledged to work closely with President Museveni to deliver service to the people of Namayingo..

“As a daughter of the soil and a passionate leader, I am committed to serving the people of Namayingo with integrity and dedication,” Egesa said. “Together, we can achieve great things and transform our district.”

She said that as a leader who strongly believes in Accountability, she will be committed to transparency and accountability in governance, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and effectively and that by joining president Museveni she will be able to combat corruption in government and the private sector.

She assured the residents that unlike previous leaders, since she has a strong inborn Communication Skill and as an effective listener and communicator, she will be able to articulate the needs and concerns of her constituents in parliament and provide efficient representation, where the youth and women will be empowered through job creation, training, and entrepreneurship support.

“As a visionary leader I have a clear vision for Namayingo district’s development and prosperity, and a strategic plan to achieve it,” she said it promising to improve the medical services by upgrading healthcare facilities and increasing staff plus the enhancement of education standards by providing resources and supporting teachers.

“Being a true daughter of the soil, empathetic and compassionate at heart, I understand the struggles and challenges of our mothers who trek long distances to fetch safe drinking water and I am committed to address this and ensure that to every household has easy access to safe drinking water ,” she promised.

Egesa herself though a Christian, but as an inclusive representative she promised to be committed in representing the diverse interests and needs of all the residents of Namayingo her constituent, regardless of their background or status.

“With a collaborative Mindset I will be able to work across party lines, building consensus and partnerships to deliver results and strive to ensure that the long awaited Lugala road is finally under tarmac’ she pledged.

The residents of Sigulu Island welcomed Egesa’s commitment as an innovative and problem-Solving leader who is creative and able to find solutions to their complex problems and expressed hope that she would bring the much-needed change to the district.

The passionate and dedicated Egesa with her strong work ethics coupled with  her experienced political background,  she is poised to make a positive impact in Namayingo district.
