Jinja Regional Referral Hospital is poised to transform healthcare in the region.

Under Dr. Alfred Yayi’s visionary leadership and partnerships with non-profit organizations, the hospital is expanding its services.

Patients with lung complications will no longer need to travel to Kampala for treatment.

Impact Africa Services International, a non-profit partner, has procured dialysis equipment for the hospital.

Dialysis treats kidney failure by filtering waste and excess fluids from the blood.

This lifesaving treatment benefits patients with end-stage renal disease, acute kidney injury or chronic kidney disease.

Jinja Regional Referral Hospital serves 11 districts, one city and 4.3 million people.

The hospital has also received 60 orthopedic beds from Pathways to Hope Africa.

Dr. Yayi highlighted infrastructure improvements thanks to ministry support.

The hospital’s vision is to provide specialized healthcare services in Busoga and beyond.

Established in the 1930s, Jinja Regional Referral Hospital has grown to attract specialist doctors.

Specialties include Ear, Nose and Throat, Dental Surgery and Pathology.

Anesthesiology faces challenges due to personnel attraction and retention issues.

Hospital Management Board Chairperson Dr. Charles David Mukisa praised First Deputy Prime Minister Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga.

Dr. Mukisa welcomed developments, noting reduced travel for regional patients.

He expressed gratitude to contributors, acknowledging their unwavering support.

Revolutionizing Healthcare in Busoga: Jinja Hospital Introduces Dialysis Services

Jinja Regional Referral Hospital (JRRH) is set to revolutionize healthcare in the region, thanks to its visionary director, Dr. Alfred Yayi, and partnerships with non-profit organizations.

Dr. Yayi announced that patients suffering from lung complicated diseases in the region will soon be saved from the burden of traveling long distances to Kampala.

This relief comes through Impact Africa Services International (IASI), a non-profit organization procuring and installing dialysis equipment at JRRH.

Dialysis treats kidney failure by filtering waste and excess fluids from the blood, providing lifesaving treatment for patients with end-stage renal disease, acute kidney injury or chronic kidney disease.

JRRH serves 11 districts, one city and 4.3 million people, providing much-needed access to specialized healthcare.

During the official commissioning ceremony of the Samuel Leeds-built Orthopedics Ward and Modern Oxygen Plant, Dr. Yayi revealed another partnership with Pathways to Hope Africa.

Pathways to Hope Africa has procured 60 orthopedic beds, set to arrive by October’s end.

Dr. Yayi highlighted JRRH’s success stories, including infrastructure improvements thanks to ministry support.

“The vision of the hospital is to be a centre of excellence in providing specialized and general healthcare services in Busoga region and beyond,” Dr. Yayi stated.

Established in the 1930s, JRRH has grown to attract specialist doctors in various fields, including:

– Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)

– Dental Surgery

– Pathology

However, Anesthesiology faces challenges due to personnel attraction and retention issues.

Hospital Management Board Chairperson Dr. Charles David Mukisa praised First Deputy Prime Minister Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all those who have contributed to these projects and innovations. Your unwavering support and commitment have made this day possible,” Dr. Mukisa said.

JRRH’s transformations ensure regional patients no longer need to travel far for specialized care.

Impact Africa Services International promotes sustainable development, social justice and human dignity.

Pathways to Hope Africa focuses on mental health challenges, well-being and resilience.

JRRH’s two campuses – Main and Nalufenya Children’s campus – provide comprehensive healthcare.

The Children’s Hospital land and structures were donated by Madhavani Muljibhai Company Limited.

Dr. Yayi’s leadership and strategic partnerships propel JRRH toward excellence, enhancing healthcare in Busoga and beyond.
