Bodyguard to Former Minister Shoots Wife Dead, Commits Suicide

UPDF and Police are investigating to establish real reason that might have caused a Military Police Officer, Cpl Collins Andebo to fatally shoot his wife and shoot himself dead minutes after.
Andebo has been a bodyguard to former State Minister for Environment, Ronald Kibuule.
The incident happened at Lutaka, Makindye Division on Tuesday morning. The officer is said to have left Kibuule’s resident at around 7.20 am to his residence where the incident happened.
The Defense deputy Spokesperson Col Deo Akiki said, “Today early morning at about 7:20am a UPDF soldier attached to Military Police Cpl Andebo Collins shot and fatally injured his wife Aturinda Pellone. Cpl Andebo was deployed to guard Hon Kibuule where he left his position early to commit the murder by shooting. After shooting the wife in both arms cpl Andebo also shot himself in the mouth and died instantly.”
Akiki added that “Unfortunately Pellone also later succumbed to her wounds. The two were living in Lutaka In Makindye Division.”
Accordig to preliminary information from neighbors, the couple has been with some marital misunderstandings for long and past several attempts by the leaders to create harmony failed.
